Coursera, the “massively open online course” (MOOC) platform, that provides courses for free, has announced that they will be partnering with ACE, the American Council of Education, to offer real college credit.  Fast Company’s Anya Kamenetz reports on the disruption this will likely bring to the higher education industry and the fee/free struggle currently unfolding with the rise of MOOCs. Knowledge@Wharton recently interviewed Daphne Koller, co-founder of Coursera, about the many challenges MOOCs face, such as “How do MOOCs deal with the challenge of scale posed by the massive numbers of students they attract?”
