Research indicates “that physical booksellers were responsible for the discovery of some 21% of all consumer book purchases.” Basically, physical browsing is more popular with consumers than online browsing. However, for the first time in 2012, research shows that a higher number of books are being purchased from internet-only businesses than from bricks-and-mortar stores.
