September 22-28, 2013 is Banned Books Week. Banned Books Week is an annual event celebrating the freedom to read. One economics/business-related book that made the “Frequently Challenged Books of the 21st Century” list (for 2010) is Nickel and Dimed: On (Not) Getting By in America by Barbara Ehrenreich. The reasons for it being challenged are “drugs, inaccurate, offensive language, political viewpoint, and religious viewpoint.” Click here to see lists of other books that have been challenged.
