Springwise.com reports on the miLES project, which provides tools to help entrepreneurs transform unused storefronts into working venues. What has been created is a “storefront transformer,” which “consists of a 6-foot cube of modular components that can be assembled as furniture and structural elements of each space as it is needed.” miLES, which stands for Made in the Lower East Side (Manhattan) hopes to be able to eventually offer longer residencies (weekly or monthly).
